Abstract

The increase in monocultures in the southwest of the state of Paraná and northern Santa Catarina, located in the Atlantic Forest Biome in Brazil, led to the erosion of agrobiodiversity. In view of this, Coletivo Triunfo, a group formed by family farmers and representative entities, made it possible to build a network of guardians of Creole seeds through actions to combat the excessive use of pesticides, to encourage the rescue of agrobiodiversity and access to the Acquisition of Foods and the National School Feeding Program, the holding of municipal and regional fairs for Creole seeds and agrobiodiversity, the construction of seed houses and processing agribusiness. The actions of Coletivo Triunfo led to an increase in the agrobiodiversity of the territory and the recognition of the group by Family Agriculture organizations and public authorities as a collective political actor for the formation of public opinion and social consultation.
