Quilombola territories and solidarity economy: challenges and possibilities
Keywords:
Traditional Knowledge, Biodiversity, Public PoliciesAbstract
This study sought to know the levels of insertion of quilombola communities in the field of
solidarity economy and access to public policies, as well as important aspects that contribute
to the conservation of agroecosystems in quilombola territories. The methodological process
had an exploratory approach of a qualitative and quantitative nature carried out through bibliographical
and documentary research, besides direct observation. The results demonstrated
the inexpressive insertion of communities in the solidarity economy, the low level of access to
public policies and the inability of the state to manage the territory. As a result, the sustainability
of agro-ecosystems, built by these traditional communities in their territories, is threatened.
