Abstract

The Discipline of Cultural and Medicinal Botany is related to the use of unconventional food
plants, medicinal plants and ethnobotany and has been offered to undergraduate students of
Agroecology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Agronomic Engineering, Physics and Chemistry.
This discipline aims to disseminate agroecological knowledge during the academic
training of students from different areas, promoting a more sustainable use and consumption
of natural resources and involving the academic community in this process. The interaction
between students of different undergraduate courses from the related themes has allowed the
articulation and the exchange of experiences during the training of these professionals.
