Abstract

Environmental education is of fundamental importance create principles of environmental belonging,
communities neighboring conservation units tend to have socio-environmental conflicts.
The Area of Relevant Ecological Interest (ARIE) Laerth Paiva Gama is located in the
municipality of Alegre, Espírito Santo, has been suffering from the action of the surrounding
community. With this, the purpose of the report is to show the importance of environmental
education in the community. The resumption of activities in the Living Center has as one of the
roles to inform and educate the surrounding community.
