Agroecology tracks: interaction of local knowledge and scientific

Abstract

This intense environmental crisis we are experiencing has gradually destroyed life. One way
of mitigating this is through Environmental Education, where the agroecological trails can be
used as a resource. The trails project is carried out at Farm School St. Louis- FSSL, the visiting
community is guided by volunteer monitors of the Agronomy Course of the State University of
Maranhão. The project of the trails promotes the dissemination of scientific and systematized
knowledge, as an effective mediating instrument of the University and Society relationship, as
well as the awareness of the man-nature relationship.
