Abstract

This study aims to report the experience of three young, organized in a collective, Ninho de
Guaxo, to bring to Lavras, Minas Gerais, a CSA model organization. The CSA – Community
Supported Agriculture – has as its objective, stimulate a fairer trade between producers and
consumers, cutting the intermediaryand at the same time guarantee the quality and health of
the products. The methodologies used were the participant observation, semi-structured interviews
and informal conversations with the members that took part at the construction of the
collective. In an interdisciplinary and qualitatively manner, considering the interrelations among
political, economic, environmental, cultural and social subjects, we try to understand how farmers,
organized in participative systems can keep the organic farming quality and create new
market relationships cooperatively that go beyond self-interest
