Education in agroecology: from the curriculum prescribed to the curriculum practiced - the experience of the Rural Education – UNIPAMPA

Rural education undergraduation courses are social movements demands. One of the main
issues for family and peasant agriculture is the production of healthy food in order to improve
the relationship between culture and nature. In the perspective of the pedagogical project of
rural education - UNIPAMPA - agroecology plays an important role as a dialogue of different
knowledge, and itself as the curriculum organizing axis. The objective of this study was to
evaluate the formation of rural educators in the development of subjects related to Agroecology
in the undergraduation course of Licentiate in Rural Education - Natural Sciences of UNIPAMPA
- Dom Pedrito. The experiences with education in agroecology in the rural education have
been showing the possibility of the articulation of different disciplines in formation of educators
capable of think about education in its complex totality. The results indicate that education in
agroecology can contribute to another way of living education, as well as school and teacher
formation.
