Abstract

This paper presents the results of the Sustainability and Veterinary Medicine Education Forum,
held on August 21, 2015. In this forum participated university professors, undergraduate and
internship students and veterinarians. The discussions pointed out the need to rethink the student’s
formation, curriculum, teaching methods, teacher training and extracurricular activities,
so that sustainability can be treated as a horizontal theme in the curriculum. Finally, the possible
contributions of Agroecology these objectivesbe achieved are discussed at the end, along
with potential obstacles and solutions to this approach.
