Abstract

The diversification of activities and didactic resources in the educational practice contributes
to motivate the students, allowing to attend to different needs and interests. At Água Limpa
Farm of UnB is the Headquarters of the Technological Vocational Center in Agroecology and
Organic Agriculture of the University of Brasília (CVT AAO UnB). The technical team of CVT
AAO UnB conducts guided tours of school classes presenting the spaces where vegetables,
fruits and grains are produced, the importance of science and the fundamentals of organic and
agroecological production. The objective of the present work was to present and evaluate the
educational actions to sensitize the school community to organic production and the principles
of agroecology and sustainable food production. The educational activities developed with
the visitors showed the importance of awakening society for the appreciation of the organic
process of food production as well as the importance of preserving the environment for the
maintenance of natural resources in respect to the earth and future generations.
