The main phytosanitary problems in the cultivation of blackberry (Rubus glaucus Benth) were
established by means of participatory action research with the farmers’ associations belonging
to the municipalities of Calima (Darien) and Trujillo, in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The most
relevant phytosanitary problems identified together with the community were of pathological
origin, Antracnosis (Colletotrichum sp.), Mildeo Velloso (Peronospora sp.) And Gray Mold (Botritys
sp.). In order to provide tools to farmers for control and management, knowledge and
experience exchange tours were held in which they were able to engage in dialogue with
academics and ecological farmers who specialize in the sustainable management of soil and
agroecosystems in Through eco-friendly practices and technologies.
