Construção do conhecimento agroecológico na extensão rural: a educação agroflorestal no fortalecimento da educação em agroecologia

The reflections for the promotion of education in agroecology discussed in this text cover the record of the perception of peasant families about the Rural Extension in the management of SAF's (Agroforestry Systems) in the Pacajá community, municipality of Cametá-Pará. The significant number of institutions operating in the Community does not match the level of satisfaction with Rural Extension. Thus, research on perception has shown that families demand approaches based on dialogicity and the exchange of knowledge. Agroecological Rural Education stands out as fundamental in these actions, in which respect for life, diversity and complexity of the field and human relations prevail. Therefore, it is necessary to think about the productive systems over time, based on popular knowledge integrated with scientific knowledge, strengthening Communication and Agroforestry Education to the detriment of “Extension”, making Education in Agroecology concrete.Keywords: Peasant agriculture; Traditional knowledge; Field education.
