In this work, we sought to reflect on the importance of an experience in rural education and agroecological practices for the rural development of the community. To do so, the trajectory of the Nova Aliança School, located in the municipality of Moju, 18.6 km from the city of Mocajuba-PA, was reviewed. This school, through its pedagogical proposal and its contribution, has been acting in an initial way in the formation of farmers and technicians engaged in the promotion of agroecology as an alternative of production and sustainability for the rural environment. The school, which serves students who live in the countryside, aims to provide a contextualized education that values agroecological practices and contributes to an education committed to sustainability. Moreover, the school also seeks an approach on the importance of forming collaborative networks to strengthen rural education and promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences among local people.
