Abstract

The objective of the work was to know the productive backyards of the women of the Itaguassu VII community, municipality of Andaraí-BA and to apply the Agroecological Handbook so that women can organize and take note of their daily production. The experience was carried out by three students of the Technical Course in Agroecology and residents of the Itaguassu VII community. The methodological process was carried out in two distinct stages: a) Conversation circle, application of a questionnaire to learn about the profile of the women farmers and the dynamics of the clock; b) Guided tour in a productive backyard, elaboration of an agroecosystem map and application of the agroecological booklet. The booklet is a tool that makes it possible to give visibility showing the great contribution to the family income that the women's productive backyards make. After a week of using the notebook, as a result, it was possible to observe the diversity of products they grow in their backyards and how great their contribution is to the healthy and diversified diet of the family.
