Abstract

The work deals with environmental education through the use of music and drawings as a tool
to aid the critical view and valorization of school children on the caatiga biome and the climatic
conditions of the semiarid, showing social problems, cultural, political, environmental and
environmental issues. And economic development. The environmental education in this mold
provides critical reflection and collaborates in the search for a new paradigm for the Brazilian
semiarid, the coexistence and not the combat against the drought. As a result, the involvement
and concentration of the children as well as the understanding of the reality that surrounds
them has been perceived, stimulating a new vision of the world that collaborates directly with
the cultural valorization.
