The summary presents the experience of elaboration of an alternative feed project developed during a mandatory Institutional Internship of the Technology in Agroecology course of the Federal University of Pará, Abaetetuba Campus, carried out at the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor of the Municipality of Igarapé-Miri. The project aims to produce alternative feeds, using products from five participating communities, reducing by up to 40% the costs with feed, which are currently purchased. The experience of the working world provided by the internship was crucial for the idealization of the project, in addition to the engagement of the future professional technologist in Agroecology in a context that allowed her to act as an agent of social change, since the project conceived can also favor productive diversification, food security and economic autonomy of the beneficiary farming families.
