Ensino e extensão em diálogo: relato de experiência de implantação de Sistema Agroflorestal em uma universidade federal na Amazônia

experience report on the implementation of an Agroforestry System in a federal university in the Amazon

Abstract

The text presents an experience report of agroecology education that involves the main dimensions of teaching and extension, and also research, around the implantation of an Agroforestry System in an experimental area of the Federal University of the South and Southeast Pará. In methodological terms, one of the actions is described, the holding of a thematic workshop, organized by a university research group, involving students and farmers linked to the Pastoral Land Commission. As main results, we highlight the relevance of the actions that involve training students in agroecology topics, in a practical way and in dialogue with social movements.
