The objective of the present work was to investigate the potential of the Return Activities developed
by students of the Escola Familia Agrícola do Sertão to promote the agroecological
transition of productive systems in sertaneans communities.
The Return Activity is a pedagogical instrument constituent of the Alternation Pedagogy, an
educational method used by the Escolas Famílias Agrícolas for the formation of Young peasants,
putting them in dialogue with reality and provoking them to intervene in the same. In this
investigation, interviews were conducted with students, agricultural technicians and farmers
from the communities of semi-arid of Bahia, in order to understand the implications of the
agroecological experiences developed in the RAs indicated by EFASE in promoting the agroecological
transition of the production of the communities.
