Abstract

This article aims to expose a report from the Work Group About Water (GTÁgua) from the
Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) during the execution of the extension project “Participative
Monitoring of Water Resources and Basic Sanitation of the São Joaquim River Basin: Contributing
to Countryside Education” at the Puris Agricultural Family School (EFA-Puris), in Araponga
MG. The group contributed to the construction of an agroecological knowledge related
to water, promoting the opportunity for the understanding and use of scientific techniques and
knowledge by EFA farmers and young students, so that they could apply the knowledge in
practical decisions.
