Abstract

The fair of the rural producers of the municipality of Alegre- ES is one of the main means of
supplying fresh food and quality products in the region. It represents economic, social and ecological
importance, being the commercialization of these products an additional income generator
and for some producers represents more than half of its monthly income. This marketing
channel allows for a huge exchange of knowledge, as there is a direct contact between the producer
and the final consumer. The products offered have attracted consumers who are looking
for a healthier diet, since it is possible to know the origin of these products. The realization of
this report arises from the need to identify the representativeness of the fair in the monthly
income of the exhibitors, as well as the most relevant aspect of the fair. Finally highlight the importance
of the fair in the diversity of products in natura originated from local family agriculture.
