The struggle for land and the struggle for rural education in Natalândia-MG

The trajectories of agroecology and rural education in Brazil are umbilically linked to the struggle
for land. In this struggle, many meanings are present, since the search to get rid of the
exploitation of the landholders, passing by the autonomy in relation to what to plant and how to
cultivate and also by facing the monocultures of the mind, for which education plays a key role.
We recorded in this study the trajectory of struggle for land and struggle for education, which
culminated in the creation of the Saco do Rio Preto settlement and the Agricultural Family
School in Natalândia-MG.
