Abstract

The Subsequent Technical Course in Agroecology developed in the indigenous village of Urubu
Branco is the first in Brazil to be taught within the community, facilitating the exchange
of knowledge between teachers and students and increasing access to education and technology.
The same arose from the yearnings of the community and the need to improve and
resignify its mode of production after the total degradation of the indigenous lands provoked
by the presence of farmers and squatters in these. The same was offered between the years
2014 and 2017, and during the classes were developed activities of crops and crops within the
agroecological principles, improving the traditional knowledge of the Tapirapé people. After the
completion of the disciplines, an Indigenous Works Exhibition was held to which the students
were able to expose all the projects executed to the internal and external community of the
village, as well as the importance of their formation in the cultural and alimentary maintenance
of the ethnic group.
