Project work is part of the school pedagogical practice and enables the involvement not only of
the students, but also of the community. In this sense, the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Municipal
School, a rural school located in the Municipality of Muriaé, Forest Zone of Minas Gerais, has
been developing projects in partnership with the families of the students and the rural community
in which they are inserted and is reaping fruit. Among the various works carried out by the
school, there is the project “Morangolando: agroecological management of strawberry”. With
this project, strawberry cultivation was popularized in the community where the school is inserted;
the students learned how to grow it in an agroecological way; and to pass this information
on to the community. It is concluded that with the “Morangolando” project everyone has won:
students, teachers, family and community, because shared knowledge is multiplied knowledge.
