Abstract

The present work aims to expose the experience of the group of the IV Biodiversity Period of
the IFPE campus Vitória in the technical visit to Terra Viva Site in the city of Amaraji - PE. This
experience provided excellent training for students, as they were able to experience in a field
day the agroecological-based agriculture practices known in the classroom and also to know
the CSA System. The CSA system, an acronym that comes from Community Supported Agriculture
which in Portuguese means Community that Supports Agriculture, offers a new form
of economy in a joint action between farmers and consumers, bringing them closer, so that
consumers (coproducers ) Financially support a small farmer, through a monthly fee, sharing
with the producer the risks and benefits of food production. On the other hand, they receive
a weekly basket of agroecological products, made up of the food produced. The coproducers
also participate in the life of the producer, making visits to the garden, getting to know the family,
understanding their expectations and difficulties.
