Abstract

The present article aims at exposing the experience of the Agricultural Family School of Porto
Nacional - Tocantins (EFA) in the agroecological formation through the Technical Course
in Agroecology Integrated to High School by the National Program of Education in Agrarian
Reform (PRONERA) from 2014 to 2016. This course was formed by 78 technicians in Agroecology
who, through experimentation and experience in the offered learning spaces, were
trained to develop activities that aim at sustainability through agroecological practice. The EFA
is a rural school with a specific methodology to meet the educational needs of the peasants,
favoring the popular organization in the struggle for their rights, always in search of better living
conditions in the countryside.
