Social techologies and agroecology: sociais e agroecologia: contributions to teaching learning of the natural sciences in the field education

Abstract

The objective of this work was to rescue social technologies (TS) appropriate to agroecology
and to analyze their potential in the teaching of Natural Sciences, in Field Education. The research
was carried out in the course of Licenciatura in Education of the Field of the Universidade
Federal de Viçosa -UFV and in the School Family Agrícola Puris (EFA). Data collection was
done through bibliographic research, document consultation, participant observation, field notebook
and interviews. The TS were correlated to the contents of the Nature Sciences, foreseen
in the National Curricular Parameters. It was verified that TS are present in the processes of
teaching learning in both educational spaces. In the Bachelor’s Degree, the TS are generative
themes in Nature Science classes or they appear as a complementary activity in training courses
and workshops, while in EFA, they are present in the alternating instruments and in the
technical subjects, being sometimes adopted in the disciplines of the Sciences of the Nature.
It was possible to verify that TS favor interdisciplinarity, the appropriation of fundamental concepts
and the interest and motivation of the students.
