Training of students through a demonstration unit of organic papaya

Abstract

The demonstration unit of organic papaya in the experimental field of the IF Sertão-PE, Campus
Petrolina Zona Rural, in the areas of agroecological fruticulture of CVT Agroecology was
implemented with the objective of training students and family farmers. All the conduction of
the culture is done through agroecological technologies, emphasizing the good agricultural
practices and the preservation of the environmental resources. Students participate in all stages
of the development of the crop, from the preparation of the area to the harvest of the fruits,
which allows them to experience a sustainable agricultural production, healthy for human consumption,
which does not negatively affect the environment and at the same time, an option
