Contributions to popularize Permaculture: the actions of Curare Permaculture Group

Permaculture has great potential for social transformation, however, its access is still quite restricted.
In this context, a group of students began to organize a Permaculture Design Course
that would allow access for people who would otherwise not be able to afford this education
in institutes. This way, the Curare Permaculture Group is formed within the public university.
Currently, the group has expanded its activities to environmental education and has already
formed around 300 permaculturists. Despite the obstacles encountered in its popularization,
networking has shown itself to be a potential path. In addition, there is a need for greater dialogue
with Agroecology so that Permaculture can incorporate political aspects and collective
social transformation.
