School court as generator theme for multidisciplinary project in the municipality of Parauapebas (Pará-Brazil)

The Horta Escolar was used as a multidisciplinary generating theme in a teaching project
carried out with classes of technician on high school, at the IFPA, campus Parauapebas (Pará-
Brazil). For this, alternative theoretical classes were given, followed by practical classes,
where attendance, punctuality, activities and affinity with students’ subjects were evaluated.
We have observed, throughout the execution of the project, the students are more involved
and they acquired affinity with the generating theme and became more assiduous, raising
questions and provoking new debates. Thus, it was possible to observe the effectiveness of
this theme for multidisciplinary teaching in projects for this level of education.
