This article search to contribute to the debate on the training of trainers and adults in non -
formal spaces. The experience reported here refers to a course developed in the context of
the Agroecological Settlements Project - ESALQ / USP, in the extreme south region of Bahia,
called “Training of Trainers: Weaving Agroecological Knowledge.” It involved farmers, teachers
from country schools, health workers, community leaders, representatives of municipal public
authorities, the counties of Porto Seguro, Belmonte and Santa Cruz Cabrália. Based on the
Agroecological Environmentalist Literacy methodology, created by the Environmental Education
and Policy Laboratory (OCA), the course sought to foster cooperation links between the
families living in the pre-settlements and the local community, in order to broaden the view of
the same territory, and the perception of the challenges and possibilities that surround the processes
of agroecological transition. The displacements and senses produced in the interface
Education and Agroecology are main elements of analysis.
