Abstract

This text analyzes the challenges of the mandatory inclusion of afro-brazilian and indigenous
history and culture in formal education. It analyzes the importance of training
field and Agroecology educators in this debate. It suggests some ways to introduce the
subject in the curriculum of the Licentiateship and concludes that one must go beyond
the implementation of a single discipline in the course’s pedagogic project.
