Exiled by dam: socioeconomic survey of the Resettlement Flor da Serra, in Porto Nacional / TO

The Dignity of the Human Person is an essential foundation of the Democratic State of Law,
which has the power / duty to respect civil liberties, that is, respect for Human Rights and fundamental
guarantees, through legal protection. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the State
to ensure the right to life, liberty, equality, security and property, and can not be restricted only
to the legal text, it is necessary the practical implementation of such guarantees. In this perspective,
the objective of the study was to raise the socioeconomic profile of the Flor da Serra
resettlement and to analyze it from the point of view of the social rights and fundamental guarantees,
listed in the Federal Constitution of 1988. For this purpose, the quantitative-qualitative
approach With an exploratory methodological objective, field research and bibliographical survey.
The research evidenced that the exiled / exiled from the place of origin by the dam does
not have effective attendance to the existential minimum.
