In the present work, it was proposed to study the religious manifestations related to the agriculture,
which were showed by the farmers, through their language, in Mérida-Venezuela. We
interviewed and recorded 4 farmers from different areas of Mérida state, who let us see that religious
element that accompanies them while planting through their life story. Methodologically
it was a qualitative field study, being the most appropriate for an investigation in which individuals
and their beliefs are the focal point. Semi-structured interviews and life histories were used
as data collection instruments, and qualitative analysis for the interpretation and discussion of
results. We obtained a total of 10 fragments containing an important religious burden, which
constituted the corpus of analysis of the study. Among the results we can emphasize that the
daily practices of the farmers are impregnated with that religious essence that mixes with the
agricultural one, leaving us to see that sense accompanying their daily chore.
