The Internet in strengthening agro-ecological tourism in family farming - the case of Acolhida da Colônia / SC

Abstract

The Acolhida in the Colony is an association with its main objective and is a sustainable host
in the rural properties, which produce organic, providing the guests living in the countryside
so that they know as the everyday on the property, such as family farmers day. In this report,
it is shown as an internet trend to boost agrotourism by expanding the opportunity to increase
contact between consumers and family farming. It should be noted that the Internet has significantly
contributed to strengthen socialization processes in rural areas, since this is suitable
for farmers seeking to increase knowledge and access to new markets, making possible the
enhancement of gains in rural areas.
