Abstract

The agroforestry systems are of great economic importance for the farmers, so it was aimed to
know the plant biodiversity of two agroforestry systems in the municipality of Rolim de Moura,
located in Zona da Mata Rondoniense. The collected data were systematized and calculated
the species richness and botanical families, relative frequency, absolute dominance, Shannon
diversity index and Pielou equability. The most abundant species in the system was rubber
(74.18%), followed by cupuassu (21.84%), the other species found in the system as Astrocaryum
aculeatissimum (Schott) Burret, Maximiliana maripa (Aublet) Drud, Caryocar sp. and
Belucia grossularioides play important roles in feeding the family and the local fauna. The
study found a preference for fruit farmers, spontaneous or native plants, and the motivating
factors for the cultivation of plant diversity and permanence, economic factors, family diet and
local wildlife.
