The importance of Ethnoscience in the conservation and maintenance of socio-biodiversity

To reflect on this relationship, a bibliographical research was done about the themes that refer
to the society/nature approach on the knowledge approach of the traditional peoples and their
relationship with the environment. To reflect on this relationship, a bibliographical research
was done about the themes that refer to the society/nature on the traditional peoples knowledge
approach and their relationship with the environment. Ethno science was referenced in
this study, mentioning the cultural and ecosystemic maintenance, consolidating a fundamental
importance on the preservation and conservation of socio-biodiversity, thus acting on the premises
of Agroecology. Based on this understanding, traditional populations are highlighted as
important agents acting on the natural assets maintenance, revealing their customs as close to
the ideals of conservation of terrestrial biodiversity, since they present ways of life that coexist
in harmony with nature.
