Abstract

This report systematizes the Fourth Earth Urubá Meeting - Agriculture of the Enchanted: Cultivate
the seeds of wisdom and care for the sciences of the ancients, held at the Memby indigenous
school, by leaders of the indigenous ethnic group Xukuru of Ororubá on November 10
and 11, 2016, in the Municipality of Pesqueira, PE. The main objective was to reunite the Xukuru
people to rescue the knowledge about the agriculture of the living well, from the spiritual,
ecological and pedagogical dimension of the Xukuru. Amongst the activities, we highlight torés
in reverence to the enchanted ones, sharing of seeds, launch of video and photo book, wheel
of dialogues, workshops and exhibitions. The meeting was a landmark to reaffirm its identity of
the Xukuru people, who provided the people present with a vision of strengthening the struggle
with respect to religion, zeal for Mother Nature and care for the Xukuru indigenous culture.
