Abstract

The healing plants can be used for the treatment of physical and spiritual illnesses. The mystical
bias of medicinal plants is widely used by traditional communities for the treatment of
spiritual diseases that affect their physical health, productive activities, among others. The
objective of this work is to report the information about the mystical use of medicinal plants in
the quilombo community João Grande in Viseu / PA. It is a qualitative study. Data were collected
through participant observation, informal and semi-structured interviews, surveys and life
history. Twelve medicinal plants of mystical use (upsetting, evil eye, spell, cleaning of the body
and the house and panemice) were raised, as well as important knowledge about the use of
these vegetables.
