Abstract

Within domestic and commercial rabbits, some pathologies are widespread, among them we
have the acute wet dermatitis or green chin, consisting of an excess of humidity in the submental
region that causes pruritus, greening of the hair and bad smell. Given that most commercial
drugs, which have zinc, which is essential in the treatment of the green flap, have as vehicles
materials that, after drying, are usually stuck in the hair and become uncomfortable. Acute wet
dermatitis, are of high cost. With this, we tried to objectify an alternative treatment mode, using
concepts of phytotherapy, where, also, there is the insertion of zinc oxide as a source providing
the element primordial to the treatment of the pathology. Through the studies, complete healing,
rapid growth of the hairs, significant reduction of pruritus and high efficacy were observed
in the control of the bad smell that affects the affected region. Therefore, we have as a result
a drug that is efficient in the proposal that is established to its use, with favorable efficacy and
low cost, which culminates in a beneficial alternative in the treatment of the green dew.
