Reintroduction and development of meliponíneos observation in the Technical College of UFRRJ: 2013-2015

Abstract

The project was aimed at the reintroduction of melíponas bees as an alternative production
and income for farmers in the region. Held at the Technical College of UFRRJ, was divided into
two stages: the first was the deployment of the agroforestry system the meliponário CTUR,
doing a nectaríferas species botanical survey and polineríferas in high school, followed by the
acquisition and management of hives; in the second there was the Division of the colony, studying
the development of colonies deployed, observation of the colonies and everyday maintenance.
As a result it was obtained the adaptation of in high school; the development of industry
practice and students ‘ internship, training course, in addition to observing a considerable
increase of agricultural production, greater plant pollination of Atlantic forest, increasing the
area with native plants in high school, bringing benefits in various sectors, especially in terms
of environmental and economic.
