Agroecological experience at the Serrinha site in Luminaries - MG

Abstract

This paper reports the field experience where it was possible to know the reality of an organic
farmer from the stimuli, their management, their techniques, as well as the obstacles. It is observed
that, in order to follow the principles of agroecology, it is necessary more than to want to
plant organic or to know techniques, it is necessary that these principles are aligned with their
purpose of life to reach quality of life and satisfaction to be in balance with the environment , as
it was possible to experience from this experience. The farmer has almost ten years working
with organic agriculture and two years ago is certified by participatory certification. This experience
is a proposal of learning of the discipline of Agroecological Transition of the master
program, being of fundamental importance and that added much to understanding about the
subjects discussed in class.
