Abstract

The article aims at reflecting on the agroecological ATER model, based on a brief bibliographic
review and the analysis of the experience of a rural development project in the Sepé Tiaraju
Settlement, financed by a state public policy. The observations are based on a context in which
the consolidation and expansion of the number of families that adopt Agroforestry Systems
(SAFs) in the Ribeirão Preto region - SP, as well as their strengthening in the agroecological,
productive and commercial practices were sought. This project served as a stage for an essay
on methodological adaptations to an agroecological ATER, through cross-cutting practices
and “emergent” constructivist techniques, such as adaptations of the peasant to peasant system.
The results highlight the need to deepen the reflection and the accumulation of practices
and experiences that contribute to other ATER models, converging in the strategic proposals
of Agroecology.
