Abstract

The objective of this work was to analyze and compare preliminary data of the edaphic fauna
present on two conilon coffee production systems in the north of State of Espírito Santo, Brazil.
They were evaluated the conilon coffee consortium system (with rubber tree, black pepper
and cocoa) and the conilon coffee monoculture system. The two systems were near one each
other. The samples were carried out on two systems with Pitfall traps at nine points equidistant
from each other. Invertebrates were collected monthly and identified on taxonomic groups. On
the consortium system there was the highest abundance and richness of the Coleoptera and
Hymenoptera’s species when compared to the monoculture system. However, to the Isopoda
and Diploda take place the opposite.
