Agroecology and agroforestry systems: characterization of consolidated experience in the Santa Luzia Community, Tomé-Açu / PA

Abstract

This paper is about the agroforestal systems developed by familiar production units of the Pará
northeast region; and which we observed during a camp visit to the municipality of São Domingos
do Capim, Igarapé-Açu, Marapanim, Irituia and Tomé-Açu. We realize characterization (of)
the consolidated experience from the farmer’s Manoel do Carmo family, from the community
Santa Luzia, municipality of Tomé-Açu. We observed the diverse beneficiate of the implantation
of the agroforestal systems; the importance of the social organization for the beneficiate
and commercialization of the production; and the establishment that the agro-ecological transition
will be conquest.
