Palikur agroecological calendar in the Uaçá Indigenous Land, Oiapoque – AP

The present study presents the agroecological calendar and the relation of the Palikur with the
natural resources. The research was carried out in the Flexa village, Urukauá river, Uaçá Indigenous
Land, municipality of Oiapoque, Amapá. The methodology used was qualitative with
an ethnographic approach. With this research it was verified that the Palikur have a peculiar
way of relating to natural resources, respecting the cycles of plants, animals, rivers, planning
their activities in function of nature, demonstrating a true symbiosis with nature. In this sense,
this study contributes to the valorization of traditional knowledge, maintenance and conservation
of sociobiodiversity in the northern region of the state of Amapá.
