Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the understanding of students in the final grades of a private school in the city of Corumbá/MS about organic food. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire applied to students in the 9th grade of elementary school and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of high school, totaling 50 students. These grades were chosen because they believed they had already studied the topic in some subject at school. The results show that the students at this school have little in-depth understanding of organic food. Although they have studied the subject, they do not consume these foods.
