In the 21st century, for the first time, the human population is mostly urban. This configuration clashes with the scenario of late capitalism, so that its mode of production addresses urgent global challenges. In view of the symptoms of the climate crisis, this work aims to analyze the power relations that hinder the trade in agroecological production in Campo Grande - MS. In this sense, this research aims to contribute to studies of urban ecology from the perspective of urban anthropology by studying three groups of rural producers who sell in the city, reflecting on the potential contradictions between agroecology and agribusiness. Thus, through ethnographic research, the aim is to understand how the city, its inhabitants, cultural identities and social relations are constituted, disputed and transformed throughout this process.
