Genesis and development of the NEPPAS Permacultural Space: bioconstructing knowledge
Keywords:
bioconstruction, collective construction, context, paradigmAbstract
We will portray here the experience of the ecological construction of the NEPPAS Permacultural
Space, where we break the paradigm of a university restricted to students, teachers and
technicians, and make it accessible to other institutions, communities, farming families, to all!
A space that allows the exchange of knowledge (empirical and scientific) that uses the Permaculture
ethical and design principles and that is planned and carried out by all the people
that compose the system/process. Several workshops with collective work allowed the construction
of the structures (cistern of 52 thousand liters, geodetic structure, adobe office and an
agroforestry system), allowing the Space a reflective environment, learning and exchange of
knowledge, using Permaculture as a guiding tool and practice. Other structures are planned,
so that space remains alive, dynamic and self-sustaining, breaking the paradigms of a public
university that produces and holds knowledge.
