Network of pedagogical observation units (RUOP) and its contribution to the agroecological transition in rural settlements in Santa Catarina

The present work has the objective of analyzing the experience of the Network of Units of Pedagogical
Observation (RUOP) of the Program of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension
(ATER) to rural settlements in Santa Catarina. Thus, this study seeks to make an evaluation
of the RUOP and their contribution to the agroecological transition. For this, the methodology
of questionnaire application with the farmers was used. It is concluded that results have been
achieved through the dialogue between technicians and farmers, through the discussion of the
economic evaluation of the Family Production Units (UPFs) and, from this, make the choice for
the agroecological transition in the different production systems.
