Abstract

The present article aims at exposing the technical experience acquired in the extension project
linked to the Department of Economy and Rural Extension (DERE) of the Federal University of
Paraná (UFPR). Aiming to strengthen agroecology and ecologically based agriculture - especially
organic agriculture. Actions are carried out with family farmers in the Metropolitan Region
of Curitiba-PR in the search for alternatives to the processes of exclusion of the conventional
agricultural standard, while providing consumers with access to a free feed of chemical contaminants.
It intends a continuous work of orientation, learning and viabilization of strategies
of commercialization with the direct sale of products through the practice of fairs. Currently,
three organic products fairs are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Agrarian
Sciences Sector (SCA), in the Rectory and in the Professional and Technological Education
Sector (SEPT), respectively.
