Abstract

This report refers to the activity of production of organic compounds carried out at the IFPA-
-Campus Castanhal, specifically in the sector of olericultura. The objective of the activity was
to offer the students the possibility to plan and to lead alternative methods of cultivating vegetables,
highlighting how these actions can reduce the impacts caused to the environment.
The students of the agronomy group, through the guidance of the technician responsible for
the sector, were divided into groups and each group was responsible for producing a type of
organic compound, being: pile composting, laminar, vermicomposting and Bokashi. From these
practices, the students elaborated booklets containing the step-by-step preparation of compounds
and their importance. The industry experience has encouraged agronomy students to
develop cooperative spirit and to reflect on improving cultivation methods.
